GeForce NOW Is Coming To Steam Deck With Native Support In 2025

NVIDIA has confirmed that its cloud gaming platform, GeForce NOW, will launch as a native app for the Steam Deck later in 2025. This announcement, made during CES 2025, opens the door for Steam Deck users to access their game libraries through the cloud without the need for local installations.

The native app will allow players to stream games from their Steam libraries via NVIDIA’s cloud servers. It supports resolutions up to 4K and HDR when connected to external displays, while handheld mode will offer compatibility with up to 1440p. Steam Deck owners will also be able to access a growing library of over 2,100 titles, including upcoming games like Avowed and DOOM: The Dark Ages.

GeForce NOW previously offered limited functionality on the Steam Deck through beta workarounds, but this native app aims to streamline access and improve usability. NVIDIA has been working closely with Valve and its development partners to ensure a smooth launch.

The app is set to arrive later this year, with more details about specific features and release timing expected in the coming months. For now, this announcement signals NVIDIA’s continued push to make cloud gaming more accessible across devices.
